Madison International Realty, a leading real estate private equity firm, has announced the expansion of its operations in Asia with the opening of its first office in South Korea. The new office, located in central Seoul, marks Madison’s eighth global office and second in Asia following the firm’s Singapore office launch last year.
Jun Park has been appointed as Head of South Korea and will lead the firm's expansion in the region. The Seoul office is set to open in Q2 2025, and Park will work alongside Madison International Realty’s President and Founder Ron Dickerman, as well as its global co-heads of equity capital markets Evan Abrams and Michael Siefert, and Head of Asia Yichao Mark, to enhance Madison’s relationships with South Korean investors. Park’s immediate focus will be on strengthening connections with existing clients, while also seeking to expand Madison’s investor base in the region.
Park brings over 14 years of experience in real estate investment, finance, and private equity to his new role. Prior to joining Madison International Realty, he served as team leader of the Real Asset Investment Department at Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance (HDMF), where he managed over €1.1bn of alternatives assets. In this role, Park was responsible for more than 100 transactions valued at over €2.2bn across various real estate asset classes, including data centres. Park holds an MBA from UCLA, a Master's in Civil and Environmental Engineering from KAIST, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Hanyang University.
