M.J. de Nijs & Zonen has delivered the final phase of the Robijnhof project in Leiden to Altera Vastgoed NV (Altera). It concerns the fourth block, which consists of a psychogeriatric care complex where intramural care will be provided. The care complex comprises 40 psychogeriatric units and has been let to care provider Stichting Libertas Leiden.
Delivery of the Robijnhof project took place in phases. 2022 saw the completion of 119 apartments, with an underground car park and shared bicycle and mobility scooter parking facility. Just like the apartments, the care complex is connected to the district heating network. Solar panels have been installed on the buildings’ roofs. With the delivery of the care complex, the Robijnhof project is fully let.
Erwin Wessels, CIO of Altera: “The completion of the intramural care units marks the full completion of the Robijnhof project. In addition, all homes in the previous delivery phases have been successfully let. With their comprehensive amenities, the apartments are especially suitable for elderly people with mild extramural care needs. Due to the Netherlands’ ageing population, there is a growing demand for lifetime-adaptable homes that allow for the provision of mild (and other) care. Robijnhof meets this demand and is therefore in alignment with our residential portfolio, which is focused on enjoyable living for all target groups.”
