Kungsleden has left the Kalmar and Visby regions with the divestment of three properties for €22.14m (SEK207m). The move is part of the group’s strategic approach in creating distinct property portfolio clusters in priority regions.
The property Valfisken 1 is an office development with a total leasable area of 11,000m2 located in the central parts of Kalmar. The property is purchased by Stenvalvet and closing takes place on February 16, 2016.
Pipdånen 5 and 6 has a total leasable area of 5,300m2 and is located in central Visby. The property is sold to a private individual and closing takes place on April 1, 2016. The property Magneten 4 is an industrial property in what Kungsleden deems a non-strategic location. The leasable area totals to 396m2.
The divestments were made in three separate deals and generated a profit of €214,277 (SEK2m). In 2015, Kungsleden divested approximately €64m (SEK600m) of non-strategic assets.
