KFN purchases electricity from REMU

KFN has taken another key step in its strategy of providing upgraded services to tenants. The company recently signed an agreement with REMU for the supply of 45 million kWh (45 GWh) electricity – an agreement that will mean total savings of € 400,000, which will go entirely to tenants.

REMU proved to offer the best terms in the public tender for the supply contract, which will commence on 1 August 2002 and apply for a two-year period. The contract however will not immediately apply to all of KFN’s tenants. It will initially pertain to 46 buildings with a total floor area of around 217,000 square metres. This includes WTC Schiphol Airport and several large office buildings on the Weena boulevard in Rotterdam.

Together with the supply contract KFN has also signed an agreement to purchase the required measurement equipment which will allow KFN to monitor all data via an Internet connection.
