Colliers International has announced the appointment of Iain Leyden who will lead Colliers International's Project Management Department activities in Poland.
Leyden trained and qualified as a quantity surveyor in Glasgow where he also gained considerable experience in project management culminating in a project management role on the largest Mixed Use Development of its kind in Scotland called Braehead Shopping and Leisure Center.
Leyden subsequently moved to London as a Researcher for the Expert Witness on a Construction Technology Court dispute between a developer and his appointed contractor. The case was at the time the most high profile dispute in the UK Construction Industry. During his time in Poland, Leyden has owned and operated an independent project management consultancy with 20 professional staff, called Caledonian Project Management Sp. z o.o. and he was Director of King Sturge Building consultancy department. After Jones Lang LaSalle's merger with King Sturge he retained the position of Director of the Project & Development Services.
Leyden is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and currently on the board of the RICS in Poland where he is responsible for the project management, building surveying, construction and quantity surveying professional groups.
Commenting on his appointment, Iain Leyden says: "I am delighted to be joining Colliers International as Director of the Project Management team. I am looking forward to strengthen our presence on the real estate market and to provide an exceptional service to our clients across Poland."
