Hilton has announced the opening of Hotel Saski Krakow, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking the debut of Curio Collection by Hilton in Poland. Located in the heart of Krakow's Old Town, the 117-room property is well located within walking distance of the city’s many art and history museums, as well as Wawel Royal Castle, one of the most historically and culturally significant sites in Poland.

Jenna Hackett, global brand head, Canopy by Hilton and Curio and Tapestry Collections by Hilton, said: “Marking the debut of Curio Collection by Hilton in Poland, Hotel Saski Krakow is a stunning addition to our portfolio of over 120 unique hotels and resorts around the world, handpicked for its distinct character. The hotel will open its doors with a rich 200-year history, offering guests an authentic insight into Krakow’s cultural past while providing modern comforts of a boutique hotel. Hotel Saski Krakow joins a growing number of fantastic Curio Collection properties in Europe, including Sea Breeze Santorini Beach Resort and The Emerald House Lisbon, which opened earlier this year. The hotel will open its doors with a rich 200-year history, offering guests an authentic insight into Krakow’s cultural past while providing modern comforts of a boutique hotel."

David Kelly, senior vice president, Continental Europe, Hilton, said: “An iconic hotel with a rich history in the centre of Poland’s cultural capital, Hotel Saski Krakow, Curio Collection by Hilton is an outstanding addition to our growing European portfolio. With more than 25 hotels operating under five different brands and a further 20 properties in the pipeline, Hilton’s presence in Poland continues to rapidly expand and we are thrilled to introduce this exciting new offering to both business and leisure travellers. From its modern design influenced by the property’s rich musical history to its prime location and excellent leisure and culinary options, it is an ideal place for guests to stay and experience Krakow.”

The hotel’s elegant Regale Bar & Restaurant offers an authentic Polish venue with a modern, international touch. Dishes are prepared with premium quality local ingredients and served with innovative and delightful touches by Roman Pawlik, one of the most renowned chefs in Krakow. His signature dishes include the Onion Tart, with green peas, caramelized onion and Old Giewont cheese mousse, or the specially created “Saski cake” amongst others.

Jan Pilch, investors representative, Abriz Sp. z o.o. said: “This is a unique place for Krakow, which thanks to its rich cultural traditions definitely stands out from the accommodation infrastructure in Poland. I am proud that we could contribute to maintaining the historical continuity of this place by writing its new chapter. What is equally important to me, thanks to accompanying functions such as Sala Saska ballroom or the Regale Bar & Restaurant, the hotel will also be available to people from the outside, also to the inhabitants of Krakow. As part of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand, Hotel Saski Krakow receives a recommendation given to the most unique places in the world."
