Hammerson plc has signed a lease with the Embassy of the United States of America for 2,200 m² (23,700 ft²) of office accommodation at Néo, 14 boulevard Haussmann, Paris 9ème. The rent for the office space is € 635 per m², with a six month rent free period. The lease term is nine years, with a tenant’s break option at the end of the sixth year.
In addition, a lease has been signed with CCF, a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc, for 900 m² (9,300 ft²) of office space at Néo, 14 boulevard Haussmann. The rent for the office space is € 675 per m², with a six month rent free period. The lease term is nine years, with a tenant’s break option at the end of the sixth year.
Providing 26,700 m² of high specification office accommodation, the building was completed in September 2003 at a total development cost of € 283 million.
John Richards, Chief Executive of Hammerson, commented: “At the time of our preliminary results, I stated that we were in dialogue with two or three occupiers, but that closing deals remained tough. I am delighted, therefore, that we have been able to translate this interest into these first lettings.”
