Indurent has completed the first phase of its c. 9.8ha regeneration of a former power station at Indurent Park Meaford in Staffordshire. This first phase will deliver an initial c. 11,055m2 of high-quality industrial and logistics space.
Split across two speculatively developed units, the newly completed space has achieved EPC A and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certifications, with rooftop solar provision designed to lower energy costs for businesses and support the decarbonisation of operations.
Indurent has secured 9.2 MVA of power at the site and has also undertaken extensive landscaping and ecological enhancements to bolster biodiversity within the park.
Strategically located between Junctions 14 and 15 of the M6 motorway, Indurent Park Meaford offers excellent connectivity to Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford, as well as access to significant worker and consumer catchments across the Midlands and North West of England.
Caddick Construction acted as the principal contractor for Indurent.
Marcus Riley, Development Manager at Indurent, commented: “The regeneration of Meaford Power Station will deliver significant benefits for the local economy. By repurposing a derelict site as high-quality new warehousing, it will support the growth of the advanced manufacturing and distribution sectors. Planning consent is in place for extensive further development at Meaford, with on-site power secured, meaning the site is well-positioned to be a key employment hub for years to come.”
Ray O’Sullivan, Regional Managing Director of Caddick Construction Midlands, added: “There is a fantastic pipeline of industrial developments in the Midlands, and this is a mark of its connectivity, and strategic position in the UK’s distribution network. Ensuring we match supply to demand is reliant on being able to deliver developments that are suited to the diverse needs of businesses, but also making sure we deliver adaptable, efficient and high-quality space. The team have done an exceptional job at Indurent Park Meaford and we look forward to building our portfolio of industrial projects in the Midlands over the coming years and months.”
