Corporate real estate professionals organization CoreNet Global has confirmed that leading business and management experts Dr. Jonas Ridderstråle and Professor Alf Rehn are the headline speakers at this year’s annual EMEA Summit, which takes place between 9th and 11th September 2013 in Amsterdam.
This year’s event will focus on many of the challenges currently faced by enterprises. The programme will encompass an exploration of the role of corporate real estate in preparing for the economic upturn; an examination of how CRE leaders can influence and guide the implementation of strategic decisions; and an overview of corporate real estate’s role in human capital, as work is increasingly viewed as a social experience.
General session presenter Dr. Jonas Ridderstråle is a Swedish business speaker, thinker and bestselling author, and winner of the prestigious Nobels Colloquia award for his leadership in business and economic thinking. His presentation will focus on new ways to find economic success in this challenging economic climate, focusing on four key ideas, ranging from emotional capital to the ‘self-organizing enterprise’, designed to help expand businesses.
Ridderstråle’s opening address will then be followed by an Executive Panel discussion, led by senior corporate real estate leaders from across EMEA. Designed to spark great conversations throughout the Summit, this top line facilitated dialogue will focus on the interface between CRE and the enterprise, and the experts views of real estate’s role in their companies’ evolving business strategies. This Grand Opening Session will be moderated by Michael Creamer (Cushman & Wakefield) and will feature contributions from panellists Ed Berkel (Shell), Matthias Grimm (SAP AG) and Barry Varcoe (Zurich Insurance Group).
The second headline speaker, Dr. Alf Rehn, is a management professor, an internationally recognized business thinker and a highly regarded business writer. He was voted ‘speaker of the year’ in his native Finland in 2010, and he tours the globe speaking at major conferences and corporate events. Rehn’s general session will expand his insightful views creativity, innovation and the future, and the pivotal role of imagination in becoming ‘future-oriented’ leaders.
These two general sessions will bookend a packed programme of seminars, presentations and workshops plus an extensive networking and entertainment programme. 2013 marks the second time that the annual Summit has been held in Amsterdam, and third time it has been hosted in the Benelux region following a successful event in Brussels in 2009. CoreNet Global is organizing the Amsterdam Summit in close consultation with the leadership from the Benelux Chapter.
