EUROPARK shopping centre expansion approved (AT)

EUROPARK Salzburg

The provincial government of Salzburg has issued a land use ordinance giving the go-ahead for the expansion of the EUROPARK shopping centre in Salzburg. This announcement was preceded by years of legal proceedings in which the operator SES, part of the SPAR Austria Group, was represented by the environmental and regulatory law team at CERHA HEMPEL.

"Together with our client, we're extremely pleased to have been able to successfully bring about a solution regarding this complicated patchwork of challenging legal issues in a political context," said CERHA HEMPEL partner MMag. Dr. Stefan Huber, LL.M. "This success underscores the exceptional competence and ability of our environmental and regulatory law team in bringing major projects to a successful conclusion in a comprehensive legal manner."

"We'd like to thank the team at CERHA HEMPEL for their outstanding commitment and for constantly developing new and well-considered approaches. By engaging the services of this professional team back in 2021, it was finally possible to bring about the enactment of the land use ordinance after more than twelve years and against all the odds," said MMag. Peter Manhartsberger, LLB.oec of SPAR.
