Dutch architect builds largest tower in Moscow

A new prestigious project in Moscow will contain the largest tower of the city. The building, which will be called ‘Moscow City’, will be 250 meters high and should be delivered in 2006. The Dutch architect Erick van Egeraat will build the complex, at a cost of USD 250 million.

Moscow City will be built north of the river Moskwa in an area not far from the White House, the Russian parliamentbuilding. The total complex will contain 2.5 million m² and will exist of 2 slim towers, one of 54 and one of 67 floors.

In the bottom three floors there will be shops, restaurants and cinemas. Fourteen floors will provide space for offices. From the 17th floor the towers will provide space for housing (apartments) in all sizes and sorts.
