In a strategic leadership transition that signals confidence in its continued growth trajectory, Dexters, London's leading independent Chartered Surveyor and Estate Agent, has appointed longstanding CFO Ash Kashyap as its new Chief Executive Officer. The announcement comes as the company reveals remarkable financial performance with revenue climbing 23% to €262m and operating profits rising 17% to €55.8m in its recently published 2024 accounts.
Kashyap, who joined Dexters as Chief Financial Officer in 2014 and was promoted to Deputy CEO in January 2024, succeeds Andy Shepherd who retires in March 2026 after three decades with the firm. During his tenure, Kashyap has been instrumental in driving the company's expansion, most notably spearheading the acquisitions of Marsh & Parsons and LiFE Residential in 2023—the largest transactions in the firm's history.
"I am delighted to confirm Ash Kashyap's appointment as the new CEO of Dexters. He has the perfect combination of strategic and financial acumen, a clear vision for the future opportunities for Estate Agency, supported by the strength and depth of his highly experienced leadership team. Initially guided by Dexters founder Jeff Doble, and benefitting from over a decade of working side-by-side with Andy Shepherd, this carefully planned and executed change means Ash will hit his stride fast and the firm's ambitious plans will accelerate," said Justin King CBE, Chairman of Dexters.
Founded in 1993, the Dexters group has demonstrated consistent year-on-year growth over three decades, expanding to encompass prestigious London estate agency brands including Wetherell and Jackson-Stops (London and Surrey). The company now operates over 180 offices across the capital with a team exceeding 2,300 professionals, all trained through its proprietary Dexters Academy, which has been central to maintaining its exceptional service standards evidenced by over 80,000 Google reviews averaging 4.9 out of 5 stars.
"It has been a great pleasure to work with Andy Shepherd over the years, and I am excited to succeed him as Chief Executive Officer. I am proud to take on the responsibility and I am ambitious about the future. Our company has a strong and well-established senior management team and amazing colleagues across the business. Everyone at Dexters has a deeply embedded growth gene, a set of values focused on customer service, quality standards and delivery that guide our actions, but most of all we have a desire to always be even better. I look forward to tapping into that desire and building on the strong foundation as we embark on the next phase of our growth journey," commented Ash Kashyap, CEO of Dexters, reflecting the company's continued commitment to excellence and expansion in London's competitive property market.
