Construction started for Trei's €59m resi quarter in Dusseldorf (DE)

Trei Real Estate GmbH (Trei) started construction work for a residential quarter in Dusseldorf. The site on Robert-Stolz-Strasse in the Morsenbroich district is currently occupied by an empty obsolete building with office and residential units, which is to be razed now. Subsequent development of the site will create two residential buildings with around 140 apartments overall and a combined dwelling floor area of 8,000m2. The completion is planned for 2027. The general contractor is the Nesseler Bau GmbH from Aachen, while Dusseldorf-based HPP Architekten GmbH is responsible for the architectural design and the integrated planning. The total amount invested will equal €59m.

Pepijn Morshuis, CEO of Trei, commented: “The focus of our residential developments in Germany is on infill densification within the urban environment. On top of that, we place an emphasis on sustainable construction methods and on the integration of green oases. At this residential quarter in Düsseldorf, we will create urgently needed accommodation for families, seniors and singles. We will enhance the liveability in the inner city by landscaping the courtyard into a place that encourages you to stay and spend some time here.”

The greened inner courtyard, which will feature a playground and seating, will be the highlight of this new residential quarter. Many of the apartments, which will have between one and four bedrooms, will directly face the inner courtyard. The underground car park will provide a total of 84 car parking spots for tenants.
