Christian Fladeland becomes sole CEO of Heimstaden as Helge Krogsbol steps down

Malmo, Sweden: After helping build one of Europe's largest residential landlords, Helge Krogsbol is handing over the keys. Heimstaden AB has confirmed that Helge Krogsbol is stepping down as Co-CEO and that Christian Fladeland, currently Co-CEO and Chief Investment Officer, will take over as CEO.

Krogsbol joined Heimstaden in 2018. Chairperson Ivar Tollefsen said: "Since joining Heimstaden in 2018, Helge has played a key role in transforming Heimstaden into a pan-European platform with more than 150,000 homes across nine markets." He added that, following a successful streamlining of operations, he supports the handover and expects Fladeland to "continue to strengthen Operations and Financials of Heimstaden" together with the management team.

Krogsbol said he is confident that Fladeland will carry on their effort to always strive for improvement while preserving the company's values and culture. Fladeland said: "Helge has been a great colleague and has become a good friend who will be missed at Heimstaden." He added that Krogsbol leaves behind a strong organisation and a highly capable management team.

Fladeland has been part of Heimstaden's management team since joining in 2019. Before that he was a partner at Danish commercial real estate advisory firm Sadolin & Albaek, today Colliers Denmark. His move from investment chief to chief executive keeps a deal-maker at the helm of a platform that has recently focused on streamlining.
