CB Richard Ellis expands in Slovakia (SK)

CB Richard Ellis has opened a new office in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, in response to growing international interest in the central European country.

Joerg Kreindl, who was previously in CBRE's Vienna office, is heading the new branch and will be providing a full range of commercial consultancy services, assisted by a four person team: Martin Varacka who will cover Industrial Agency; Oliver Galata will be responsible for Office Agency and Barbora Kocanova will be the assistant to the agents and to Joerg Kreindl.

Joerg Kreindl, comments: "Two clients asked us to undertake assignments in Slovakia during 2004, and that was indicative of growing international interest in the country. We have completed a number of transactions already, and only recently the Slovak/Belgium developer group J&T IIG have instructed CB Richard Ellis with the sale of a major Central and Eastern European logistic and office portfolio."

Mike Strong, Chairman of EMEA, comments: "CBRE is the first international real estate consultancy with a wholly-owned office in Slovakia, and we are now well placed to advise many of our international corporate clients who are expanding in the area."

"The economy in the Slovak republic is booming, following economic reforms including the introduction of a 19 per cent flat tax. As an indication of the foreign interest in the country, we already have three vehicle manufacturers - VW, Peugeot-Citroen and Kia – establishing plants in the Slovak republic."

The new office is located at: Europeum Business Center, Suche Myto 1, 811 03 Bratislava, Slovakia
