Carlo Alessandro Puri Negri: MIPIM Real Estate Maker of the Year

Last night, after an introductory speech by Thierry Renault, Carlo Alessandro Puri Negri, General Partner of Pirelli & C. and Chief Executive Officer of Pirelli & C. Real Estate (Italy) was awarded the coveted distinction of Real Estate Maker of the Year during a private gala dinner held at the Carlton Hotel.

He is the first Italian Real Estate Maker to receive this honor at MIPIM. Before him, in 1998, Ronald Spinney, Chairman and Managing Director of Hammerson (UK), Martin Eyries, President of Vallehermoso (Spain) and Léon Bressler, President and CEO of Unibail (France) jointly received the award.

In 1988, Carlo Puri Negri joined Milano Centrale Immobiliare, which became Pirelli & C. Real Estate. In 1992, he became CEO in a company that at the time had only 12 employees and a consolidated production value of 1 million euros. Eleven years later, after a string of successful operations, Pirelli & C. Real Estate became a key player on the European market with over 1,000 employees, and an annual asset portfolio with a production value of more than 700 million euros.

A long-standing supporter of MIPIM, Pirelli Real Estate now manages assets totaling 12.5 billion euros, of which 7.5 billion euros belong to third parties and 5 billion euros to companies held by the leading US real estate funds and by Italian investors, in which Pirelli Real Estate holds a minority stake.
