The Netherlands' leading real estate investment manager Bouwinvest has appointed Annemarie Maarse as Chief Operational Officer, completing a strategic restructuring that positions the €16.6bn asset manager for accelerated institutional growth across European markets.
Effective 1 November 2025, Maarse will join CEO Mark Siezen and Chief Financial & Risk Officer Henk-Dirk de Haan in a streamlined three-member Board of Directors, replacing the previous five-member structure. The consolidation signals Bouwinvest's commitment to operational efficiency as institutional demand for alternative real estate investments continues to surge across Europe.

Her background leading strategic partnerships with three property managers across Residential, Healthcare, Retail, Office and Hotel funds positions her uniquely to navigate these evolving compliance landscapes while maintaining investor returns.
The leadership transition sees three senior executives, Marleen Bosma (CCO), Allard van Spaandonk (CIO Dutch Investments) and Stephen Tross (CIO International Investments), stepping down from the Board whilst remaining with the company in operational roles. This structure mirrors successful models adopted by leading European asset managers seeking to balance strategic oversight with operational agility.
