Within the framework of its development plan, BNP Paribas Real Estate is strengthening its Property Management activity in Germany with the acquisition of the company Imoplan, a German Property Management company established in 1991, which manages over 2 million m² of property throughout Germany.
“We are delighted with this acquisition which enhances the activities of BNP Paribas Real Estate in the leading European economy. Our two companies share common values and will focus on maintaining a long-term relationship with our customers by providing them with service of an excellent quality. BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management was in 3rd position in the Bell Consulting survey in 2012 (for offices, turnover €20 mln, “quality and competence” category) with Imoplan coming 2nd”, points out Lauric Leclerc, Executive Chairman of BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management.
With this new acquisition, BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management will manage more than 34 million m² in Europe.
According to Imoplan’s General Manager Peter Matteo, “We believe that BNP Paribas Real Estate is a company which will provide Imoplan with the human and technical resources required to continue its development both in Germany and abroad. This will enhance the work of the employees of Imoplan, who will benefit from this growth on top of the platform they have already developed. I will continue to occupy the position of General Manager of Imoplan alongside Lauric Leclerc and Piotr Bienkowski, CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate Germany, respecting our commitments towards our clients, until the harmonious integration of the two companies is complete.”
From May 1, 2013, the two companies will offer national and international investors based in Germany a joint workforce of 250 people and will manage around 7 million m² of offices and retail areas.
Regarding the volume of m² managed, Germany will become the 2nd country after France (14 million m²) for BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management.
Detlef Kalthoff and Frank Helm (Managing Directors - BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management Germany) and Sandra Zengerling (Managing Director of Imoplan) will manage the newly combined team.
