AM to regenerate the city of Wolverhampton (UK)

Project developer AM Development UK Ltd., part of the listed company AM NV, has been selected by the Wolverhampton City Council as their preferred partner for the regeneration of the southern edge of the City Centre.

The city, with a population of 245,000 and a catchment of over a million people, is located some 15 miles north east of Birmingham in the West Midlands region of England, and is well positioned for access to central England’s motorway and rail networks.

Councillor Peter Bilson, Wolverhampton City Council’s Deputy Leader, who chaired the selection panel, said: “We are delighted that a development partner has now been secured for the regeneration of this important site as the Shopping Core expansion is an essential element in the continued regeneration of the City Centre”.

“The AM scheme has tremendous potential and will benefit our local business community and their customers, and will also be a major factor in attracting shoppers into Wolverhampton from further afield”, he added.

Paul Sargent, Managing Director of AM Development U.K. Ltd. said: “AM believes it is crucial that city centres like Wolverhampton broaden their range of offerings because they are competing against increasing numbers of leisure options. New Summer Row will rejuvenate the centre of Wolverhampton, create cohesion and add new life to the city through its retail and residential content”
