Sonae Sierra, the international shopping centre specialist, has announced the appointment of Alexandre Fernandes as new Head of Asset Management for Europe.
Following his appointment, Alexandre Fernandes will play an active role in the strategic management of shopping centres, and will be in charge of supervising all investment and asset management activity in respect to Sonae Sierra’s assets in Europe.
Alexandre Fernandes has a degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering from the University of Minho in Portugal, in addition to an MBA from the University of Oporto and Advanced Management Program from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid. Since joining Sonae Sierra, he has been in charge of investment and asset management of assets for the Portuguese, Greek and Rumanian markets. Until his recent designation, he was a member of the Board and Head of Asset Management at Sonae Sierra for Portugal and Spain.
