AEW, one of the world's largest real estate investment and asset managers, has acquired 'ABC Harnaschpolder', a newly developed 15,000m² Grade A last-mile logistics asset in Den Hoorn, The Hague. The transaction marks the tenth acquisition for a separate account mandate for a German institutional investor, bringing the mandate's total assets under management to approximately €440m across Europe.
The high-specification facility is fully let to Logicall Technical Installation Services on a 10-year lease beginning December 2024. The Dutch company, which specialises in the transportation and installation of equipment such as ATMs and vending machines, will use the property to consolidate and expand its regional operations. The fully electric building holds BREEAM "Very Good" certification and boasts an EPC A rating, aligning with growing investor demand for sustainable logistics assets.
Strategically positioned in the Harnaschpolder Business Park within the coveted Randstad metropolitan area, the property offers exceptional connectivity via the adjacent A4 highway, providing access to Rotterdam and Amsterdam, including Schiphol Airport and Rotterdam Harbour. This prime location enables last-mile delivery access to approximately 7 million people within a one-hour drive time, making it an increasingly valuable logistics hub in the densely populated region.
