Accor contnues its expansion with the latest openning of two brand new locations in Munster.
Positioned in the mid-scale sector, the new Novotel Munster City features 117 spacious rooms, a modern lobby, the Gold & Brown restaurant serving California-inspired cuisine, and six conference rooms. The company's economy hotel portfolio will be expanded with the new ibis budget Munster City, which has more than 123 modern rooms and a generous lobby offering a range of snacks and drinks. The two sister hotels will be located centrally on the Munsteraner Stadtring, just a few minutes from the historic city centre and Munster train station. The franchise partner for both hotels is Investhotel Gruppe, which already operates 18 hotels under various Accor brands.
Culinary delights include the breakfast buffet and the Gold & Brown bar and restaurant, which serves both midday and evening meals. It specialises in food with a Californian flavour and offers a separate children's menu for families. For business travellers there are six conference rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology that can accommodate up to 200 people in total. The wellness area with fitness studio and sauna located on the sixth floor above the rooftops of Münster completes the range of facilities.
The city's economy segment will also be expanded with the ibis budget Munster City located at Herwarthstrasse 8. Offering all the essentials and a modern look, it is ideal for business travellers as well as city breaks. The new hotel is one of the brand's flagship locations with a total of 123 rooms, all comfortably furnished and providing space for up to two adults and one child. The colour scheme and design throughout the building create a welcoming atmosphere. The vestibules are painted in a warm shade of yellow. The guest rooms also have elements of sunshine yellow, while the floors feature a subtle lion pattern and the bathrooms are decorated in either orange, red, burgundy or blue. For light bites, self-service snacks and drinks are available in the open lobby area. Guests who want to get around in true Munster style by "leeze" (the local Munster term for a bike) can use the hotel's bike storage free of charge.
"Munster is a wonderful city in northwest Germany that successfully combines a historic old city with modern elements and a relaxed student flair. We are delighted that by adding two internationally recognised hotel names to the city's tourist offerings we can further enhance its appeal as a destination," said Simone Harms, Hotel Director of the two hotels.
