Aareal Bank has further expanded its International Property Asset Management business line and has formed a capital investment company for the launch of specialised property funds. Aareal Immobilien Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH will begin operations over the next few days, with the result that the Aareal Bank Group will be expanding its diversified range for institutional investors to include a further form of investment.
“We are using specialised property funds to round off our Asset Management range with a form of investment that still enjoys considerable popularity in the market. Specialised property funds offer investors a range of benefits. These include the fiscal transparency, eligibility as a premium reserve fund and simplicity of handling offered by these types of investment”, says Charles Pridgeon, who manages a company unit responsible for central co-ordination of the Aareal Bank Group’s Property Asset Management. The unit also includes further companies offering property funds in other legal forms, such as Aareal Property Services. Synergies arise in sales and reporting and through the use of experts, who jointly contribute their specialist know-how in relation to individual property markets and types.
Aareal Immobilien Kapitalanlagegesellschaft will launch specialised property funds with international focus and which are broadly diversified into a number of different property types. The target group primarily comprises German and also international institutional investors. Dr Ulrich Nack (37) and Martin Obermüller (44) will be managing Aareal Immobilien Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH. Both have many years of experience in the specialised property fund sphere.
Alongside Structured Property Financing and Consulting / Services, Property Asset Management is Aareal Bank’s third business line, from which it hopes to realise significant growth potential over the next few years. By further expanding the business area, it is strengthening its position as an international property specialist offering far more than purely financing. With managed assets worth around € 4 billion at a number of international locations, it is already one of the leading European suppliers of Property Asset Management for institutional and private investors.
