Zara to open on Battersea Power Station's Electric Boulevard (GB)

Battersea Power Station has welcomed the first brand to open on Electric Boulevard, London’s newest high street. International high-street favourite, ZARA, will be joining the exciting mix of retail and leisure brands opening their doors at the new riverside destination. The new store will span 48,800ft² and will be the brand’s first central London store situated south of the river.

The new store will be situated on Electric Boulevard, an exciting new high street for the capital that will run from the south of the Power Station, between Frank Gehry’s Prospect Place and Foster + Partners’ Battersea Roof Gardens. The new high street will offer a mix of bars and restaurants, office space, shops, a park, a community hub and a new 164 room hotel from art’otel®, the brand’s first hotel to open in the UK.

ZARA is the latest fashion favourite to join the line-up of exciting British and international brands set to call Battersea Power Station home such as Ray-Ban, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, The KooplesMangoReissA?sop and Calvin Klein.

Customers visiting the new ZARA will be able to shop all the brand’s product ranges within one store, including Woman, Man, Kids and Home collections. The store will be spread across two floors within the stunning ‘Prospect Place’, designed by internationally renowned architect, Frank Gehry. Battersea Power Station will become the capital’s leading retail and leisure destination for Londoners and international visitors once it opens from September 2022.

Simon Murphy, Chief Executive Officer at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said: “We are creating a completely new high street for London and to have an internationally renowned high street brand like ZARA open a significant store in the UK and the first store south of the river in central London at Battersea Power Station is a testament to the continued desirability of this unique project. With our very own London Underground station and river bus pier, we’re also set to be one of the best-connected shopping, dining and cultural areas in the capital and we look forward to welcoming visitors to Battersea Power Station from September of this year.”

Sam Cotton, Head of Leasing at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said: “Bringing powerhouse brands such as ZARA to Battersea Power Station is very exciting and helps firmly cement us as the new go-to place for shopping in London. There is no doubt that Battersea Power Station will be one of the must-visit destinations once we open the Grade II* listed building and Electric Boulevard to the public from September this year. We have already announced a strong line-up of brands and all I can say is watch this space as there’s still more to come!”
