Verdion has further increased its Swedish pipeline with the acquisition of an urban logistics site in Gothenburg with an anticipated GDV in excess of €54m (SEK 580m).
The pan-European logistics specialist will speculatively develop 17,314m² of Grade A distribution space that could be leased as a whole or divisible in up to three units, ready for occupation in Q1 2024. The facility will also include office, welfare, and mezzanine accommodation, with high levels of sustainability and flexibility throughout.
The 31,782m² fully-zoned site is located in the established logistics and retail location of Backebol, 10km north of Gothenburg city centre on the European Freeway 6 which links Gothenburg with Oslo the north and Malmö and Copenhagen in the south. Local occupiers include IKEA, DB Schenker, DHL, Elgiganten and Bauhaus.
