Unibail-Rodamco has officially completed the redesign of the Ruhr Park in Bochum. After one and a half years of renovation and a €150 mn investment, the shopping centre now features 157 shops across 115,569 m², making it Germany’s largest open-air centre. To complement the open-air design, the refreshed centre is accentuated by white canopies, inspired by Japanese origami, giving the shopping centre an airy, light atmosphere.
Unibail-Rodamco has secured a bevy of quality lettings for the park. The renovated Ruhr Park now boasts a selection of well-known brands such as Forever 21 (2,100 m²), Zara (2,000 m²), Superdry (550 m²), Footlocker, Mango (600 m²), Toys “R” Us (2,100 m²), and Maisons du Monde.
In addition to retail offerings, the centre also has a sizeable food and beverage portion comprising over 1,000 m² with an outdoor terrace and a L’Osteria restaurant located next to the Activity Park, Ruhr Park’s recreational area.
The Ruhr Park in Bochum is only the third German shopping centre to be awarded a 4-star ranking, making it one of the most prestigious shopping opportunities available in the country.
