Skanska to construct large mall in New York for about SEK 1.4 billion - € 160 million (SE)

Skanska has been awarded the pre-construction and construction management services assignments for a large high-end mall in the New York area. The contract, valued at about SEK 1.4 billion (€ 160 m), is included in order bookings for the third quarter of 2004. The customer is one of the major retail facility developers in the US.

Skanska USA Building has full responsibility for the entire construction project comprising slightly more than 70,000 square meters (765,000 square foot). The mall features department stores, restaurants and accommodations for approximately 200 upscale retail stores as well as a parking garage for 4,100 cars.

The project is underway and is expected to be completed in October 2006.
