Nearly all of the 38,320.7 m² commercialised up to now have been booked at the end of 2005's edition, during the reservation period for SIMA06.
This year the Real Estate Exhibition of Madrid 2006, that will take place from 4-8 April at Parque Ferial Juan Carlos I in Madrid, has surpassed every expectation. During the space reservation period for 2005's edition exhibitors booked a total of 24,000 while this year and just within the same period 38,320.7 m² have been already commercialised. This means 59% more. Comparing the last figure with the total of meters commercialised for 2005, means that 2006's edition, bearing on mind that we still have 6 months to go, surpasses on 9,3% the total square meters commercialised at that moment, which was 35,050.
"These figures guarantee our success. The Real Estate Exhibition of Madrid works well and this is the main reason why our exhibitors do not only repeat year by year but they also do book more square meters. While last year the average was set on 100 m² this year it reaches the 150 m²", says Eloy Bohúa, Director of the Real Estate Exhibition of Madrid.
The area which is going through a more significant growth is Inmotur, which has already commercialised 11,223 m², that is to say 22% more than the 9,122 m² booked for 2005. The general section of the exhibition, that has for the moment 23,460 m², has grown 6% respect to the 22,219 m² commercialised within last edition.
This year one of the main goals the fair aims is its internationalisation. "We want to keep attracting as many international exhibitors as possible. Within last edition 9% of our exhibitors came from other countries, for SIMA06 we expect to surpass the 10%", explains Eloy Bohúa. "In order to reach this objective, Grupo Planner will strengthen its policy towards agreements with the most important promoters' associations worldwide".
Last, but not least, one of the sections that will, this year, gather more novelties will be Inmofutura, which is the space devoted to new home applied technologies. Within later editions SIMA introduced projects on ecological or sustainable homes, but the project this year will focus on the good use of the useful surface in a dwelling.
