Serdika Center's opening is scheduled for spring 2010.

"Despite the current economic situation the construction works are in line with our schedule, which shows the investors' strength and the unrivalled experience and professionalism of the parties involved," stated Plamen Iltchev, Managing Director of ECE Bulgaria. Serdika Center is being realized by Sparkassen Immobilien AG, which is listed on the Viennese stock exchange, and ECE Projektmanagement, European market leader in the field of inner-city shopping centers. General contractor is the Turkish construction company Kayi. The total investment amounts to €210 mln. Serdika Center's opening is scheduled for spring 2010.

Serdika Center comprises more than 51,000 m² of rental space on three levels and about 35,000 m² of class-A office space. The shopping center will house approx. 220 shops of international and Bulgarian brands. More than 90% of the rental area is already leased out. More than 2,000 new jobs are created within the framework of the project.

Perfect location
The shopping and office center is located on Sitnyakovo Boulevard in the prestigious Oborishte district. Around 1,600 parking spaces will provide comfortable access to the mall and the offices. In addition, several bus and tramway stations are located in direct proximity. To ensure a swift entry into the car park, the investors are improving the road infrastructure by building a new intersection and widening the surrounding streets. In view of its convenient connection to the traffic network, the Serdika Center will be equally attractive to more than 1 million customers and business people who live in the capital as well as in the remote districts of Sofia.

Strong tenant-mix with international brands
The main focus of the shopping mall will be on fashion. Several strong and reknown retail brands will open their shops in the Serdika Center: a Peek & Cloppenburg fashion department (the first branch in Bulgaria), a Techopolis market for household and entertainment electronics, a Piccadilly supermarket, fashion stores of Mango, Reserved, Esprit, New Yorker, Marc O'Polo, Tommy Hilfiger, shoes brands such as Ecco, Humanic, Geox, Deichmann, Camper; sports shops of Puma, Adidas, Tempo Sport and many more international brands like Douglas, Swarovski, Bijou Brigitte and Guess Accessories. A food court offering international and local cuisine as well as several restaurants and cafés will provide a perfect meeting point for customers to simply enjoy and relax.

A total of 35,000 m² of high standard quality office space will be built on top of the center. The class-A offices offer flexible partitioning and therefore can be fully adaptable to the tenants' requirements. Due to the perfect location, headquarters of international companies should be especially attracted.
