Rodamco Europe announces Senior President Central Europe

Rodamco Europe N.V. announces the appointment of Scott Dwyer (1964) as Managing Director Central Europe, effective 1 May 2005. Scott Dwyer is currently Managing Director of Rodamco Europe’s activities in Poland. He will relocate to Vienna to take up his new position.

Scott Dwyer’s appointment is part of Rodamco Europe’s concentrated drive to achieve greater critical mass in Central Europe . At this time, the Group (co-)owns high-quality shopping centers in Budapest, Warsaw, Prague and Vienna, employing 85 people in Austria, Poland and Czech Republic.

Says CEO Maarten Hulshoff: ‘We are concentrating the regional management team for Central Europe in Vienna. Since Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland joined the European Union (EU) last May, we are seeing a lot of activity in the region. By structuring the Central European management this way, we will be better equipped to manage growth opportunities in the region. At the same time, by retaining our local teams, we stay close to these very diverse markets. We are pleased that Scott Dwyer will be taking up this new role.’

Scott Dwyer (1964) is an Australian national resident in Europe for the past nine years, initially in northern Germany managing a European cinema venture. In 1999, he relocated to Poland to become Director of TrizecHahn's Polish development venture focusing on Urban Entertainment Centres. In 2002, he began consulting for Rodamco Europe on the acquisition of Galeria Mokotow in Warsaw and after the acquisition was completed, he became Managing Director of Poland for Rodamco Europe.

Prior to coming to Europe, Mr. Dwyer was a principal in a management consulting firm specialized in developing offshore growth opportunities for Australian media and entertainment companies in Asia and Europe. He graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia with a Bachelor of Business and is a fully qualified CPA.
