Rock Capital Group has acquired the Monachia House at Neuhauser Strasse 47 in Munich's pedestrian zone, right next to the Karlstor am Stachus. The seller was a larger private ownership group. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
The Monachia House at Neuhauser Strasse 47 offers a total of around 8,000m² of retail, restaurant, and office space. It is directly adjacent to the Karlstor am Stachus.
The well-known Neuhauser Strasse is part of the first and largest pedestrian zone in the old town of Munich and the main shopping mile from Karlstor or Stachus via the adjoining Kaufinger Strasse to the city centre, Marienplatz.
The Monachia House formerly contained the well-known Karlstor cinemas, which were converted into retail and restaurant space in 2004. Above these areas, there are office and practice areas.
“We can confirm the acquisition of the Monachia House in Munich’s best high street location and are pleased to secure a rare jewel of the Munich real estate market for ourselves. A property in this location and shape may only come onto the market once every 10 years. Now is the time and opportunity to take advantage of such opportunities. ” said Peter G. Neumann, Managing Partner of Rock Capital Group.
Christian Lealahabumrung, Managing Partner of Rock Capital Group said: “The Monachia House has huge potential in the most frequented pedestrian zone in Germany, and we are looking forward to creating something exceptional for the users and the city centre's attractiveness.”
