ProLogis today announced that it has signed an agreement with NYK Logistics, a leading third- party logistics (3PL) company, to develop a 323,000 square foot (30,000 m2) distribution facility at ProLogis Park Hamburg Dradenau in Hamburg. This will be NYK´s twelfth facility with ProLogis across two continents, including in Alzenau, Germany; Isle d´Abeau, France; Northampton, United Kingdom; Budapest, Prague; Los Angeles, California and Portland, Oregon.
Bert Angel, ProLogis´ senior vice president of global services -- Europe, said, 'ProLogis is proud to offer NYK and our other customers flexibility in leasing distribution facilities at prime strategic locations worldwide. Additionally, our global customers benefit by having a single point of contact for all the distribution facilities they lease from us.'
ProLogis Park Hamburg Dradenau is a master-planned park located in the port of Hamburg, near major highways A1, A7 and A24. Construction on the NYK distribution facility has recently begun and will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2004. An additional 323,000 square feet (30,000 m2) is planned for development at the park.
