The average house in the Netherlands has increased by 0.3% during the third quarter and now cost on average EUR 206,000. As usual during the third quarter the number of transactions was lower. Supply and vacancy rate increased.
Â'Today we have returned to a normal relationship between supply and demand. Lower mortgage rates and the moderate price increase of real estate are contributing towards more affordable propertiesÂ', according to mr. Oscar Smit, president of NVM, the Dutch Association for Real Estate Brokers.
The NVM expects a normal and active market during the fourth qaurter, characterized by again a moderate price increase.
