Panattoni hands over BTS development to K-FLEX (PL)

Panattoni has completed the construction of the seventh and final stage of a BTS project in Uniejow for K-FLEX. With this, an industrial complex operated by one of the global leaders in the production of flexible insulation and acoustic materials has thus been expanded by a further 20,000m2 to an area of 120,000m2.

The end of the seventh stage of this project is a remarkable moment that demonstrates our ability to develop strategic multistage investment projects.  Our work with K-FLEX has been particularly rewarding and we are proud that together we have been able to create this impressive industrial space. The results of our joint efforts at Panattoni and K-FLEX are now 120,000m2 of space customised to suit the client as well as seven buildings, with thriving production and logistics operations and above all a high level of trust and mutual understanding that has made it possible for us to develop the most ambitious of projects.” said Marek Foryński, BTS Managing Director at Panattoni.

The industrial complex in Uniejow lies at the heart of K-FLEX’s international operations and forms a key distribution point from which clients from all around the world can be served. The latest development results from the rise in production levels at K-FLEX of products that include rubber and polyethylene insulators as well as aluminium tape and it also results from the company’s preparations to expand into the underfloor heating market. The company is steadily ramping up its manufacturing and warehousing capabilities.

The K-FLEX complex in Uniejów comprises modern warehousing and manufacturing buildings designed to meet the highest standards for both quality and renewable development. The latest building is to undergo BREEAM certification for a rating of Excellent. The roof of the building has been designed for the installation of solar panelling while the hall has been equipped with additional LNG fittings, which will further allow energy costs to be reduced.

Additional green areas have been created near the building with office and social space and a bus bay has been set up on the site to facilitate the transport of employees to and from the centre.
