P3 has won the tender to develop a new 30,000 m² Build-to-Suit (BTS) warehouse for Automobili Lamborghini and Ducati Motor Holding at P3 Sala Bolognese park, near Bologna in Italy. It is P3’s first BTS project in Italy.
The new logistics facility will be the central European storage and distribution hub for Lamborghini and Ducati Genuine Parts.
The development is on a very tight delivery timetable. Work has already started on site and completion is due before the end of this year (2017).
Jean-Luc Saporito, Managing Director of P3 in Italy, said: “We are honoured that such prestigious global brands as Lamborghini and Ducati have chosen P3 to develop their new warehouse, demonstrating that our high-quality buildings continue to attract top customers from across the world."
“P3’s approach to business is based on the same values that guide our work: understanding customer needs and always finding the best and fastest solutions,” said Francesco Milicia, Supply Chain Director Ducati. “We are proud to be collaborating with P3, building a solid working relationship based on flexibility and partnership.”
Other projects include Volkswagen wheel supplier PTG’s new premises at the P3 Bratislava D2 park - one of the most technologically-advanced facilities of its kind in Europe – which started shipping its first wheels to the VW plant 14 km away in May this year (2017), and a 20,000 m² BTS automotive parts distribution centre at P3 Niedersachsenpark in north-west Germany, occupied by Peugeot Citroen Deutschland GmbH.
MF Studio provided legal advice to P3 during the tender process for the Lamborghini and Ducati warehouse, while technical building consultancy support was supplied by civil engineers SFRE.
