OMA/Koolhaas designs BauHaus Europa in Aachen (DE)

Rem Koolhaas has been asked to design the Bauhaus Europa in Aachen, Germany. The city announced this last week. The ‘EU-Regionale 2008’ has nominated the project as initiative.

It will be a transparent building that will connect the Dom, the town hall and a small existing museum and which will function as a center for European history.
The chosen concept will also have a large conference hall and forum, next to the historic presentations and changing expositions. OMA will now further develop the concept and the project should be delivered in 2008.
