Nexus has initiated a c. €41m development project in Liverpool's Baltic Triangle area. The project, called Central Park, will feature a nine-storey building with 174 apartments on Brassey Street. The site was acquired by Nexus last year, and it was previously being developed by Caro Developments. Legacie Contracts has been appointed to build the project, which will be completed by the first quarter of 2025.
Central Park will offer a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with top-notch amenities, such as a five-star hotel-style reception and concierge, a private roof terrace, and a gymnasium for residents. Additionally, a £1 million public piazza is planned, inspired by Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock, which will feature sculptures, floral arches, trees, benches, alcoves, and artwork, according to Nexus.
The development, designed by Studio RBA, will also include eco-friendly features such as solar panels, electric vehicle chargers, heat recovery systems, LED lighting, and air source heat pumps. Nexus has also pledged to plant 100 trees for every apartment purchased.
The project will have secure underground car parking and cycle storage. Nexus is partnering with sale agent RW Invest to deliver this project.
Michael Gledhill, director at Nexus Residential, said the project would bring “Nexus Residential is proud to create a centralised residential island within the Baltic Triangle, which is quickly becoming one of the most desirable places to live in the UK. The residential island, including the £1m piazza, offers professional surroundings with refined amenities covering work, leisure, and everything in between.”
