In line with BMW Portugal’s expansion plans, Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker (C&W/H&B) was retained by the luxury German car manufacturer to acquire its new office headquarters in Greater Lisbon.
Having established property prerequisites with both BMW Portugal and its European real estate team, C&W/H&B carried out a full review of the market to establish all possible solutions. C&W/H&B analysed the identified solutions reducing them to a shortlist of three buildings.
Following best offers from landlords, BMW Portugal signed a contract with Tierra Duarte to occupy 1,700 sq m in building 11 of Lagoas Park, one of the leading office parks in Portugal.
C&W/H&B was able to achieve substantial savings for BMW, represented by rent-free and other incentives, comfortably within BMW’s specified timescale.
According to Ian Lawrence, Partner and Head of Corporate Services of C&W/H&B Lisbon, ”Multinational companies are increasingly seeking tenant representation services when aquiring property. They look to C&W/H&B to provide sound and clear advice on the property options that are available to best satisfy their occupational needs within tight timeframes.”
Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker has a 100% record in achieving significant savings for their clients when acquiring office properties. Savings are achieved by both the reduction in annual fixed costs and in the time that it takes to complete an acquisition (the ’transaction time’), in an organised and expedient approach to office acquisition.
