On 24th October, Multi Development Poland, together with Meinl European Land Group, celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony in Koszalin, which marked the start of the construction of Forum Koszalin, the biggest retail and leisure centre in Koszalin and its wide region. The ceremony was held at the Forum Koszalin development area in the presence of a Mr. Miroslaw Mikietyñski, Mayor of the city of Koszalin, members of the city Council and parliament members of Middle - Pomerania. Forum Koszalin is a joint-investment of Multi Development Poland and Meinl European Land Group. The center will be opened at the end of 2008.

Commenting at the ceremony Ronald Dasbach, Multi's Managing Director for Central Europe said: "I have no doubt that Forum Koszalin will significantly change the focus of the retail center of Koszalin. It is expected to make Koszalin into a much more attractive retail venue. The demand from retailers for unit shops within Forum Koszalin has been tremendous and we are pleased to have secured some high profile names such as Castorama and Media Markt to join an already exciting line-up. We currently have a lot of deals in progress, and within short time we will be announcing more names of international tenants that represent the best in fashion and lifestyle. Retailers recognize that Forum Koszalin will become the prominent retail destination in Middle Pomerania and don't wish to be notably absent from what is the most innovative and exciting development this region has ever seen.
At the ceremony, Multi Development and Meinl European Land Group, announced their intention to support financially 'Barka Koszaliñska', an educational program for poor children established by Archbishop Kazimierz Nycz and the mayor of Koszalin.
Forum Koszalin
Multi Development Poland Sp. z o.o., Gdañsk, is the developer of Forum Koszalin, the new shopping destination in Koszalin. It will be a welcoming, light filled space and its malls, squares and public areas will express a character of their own. As the first development of this magnitude in Koszalin, Forum Koszalin will offer a mix like no other, integrating the best of retail with restaurants, cafes, a bowling and more.
