Moxy opens a new 131-guestroom hotel in Belgrade. It features an all-day dining venue Gastro Bar Park, street art-inspired interiors by Paviljon Studio, and Moxy’s signature 24/7 bar.
Moxy Belgrade benefits from an excellent location in the city centre, nestled in the corner of Njegoseva Street which sits within one of the oldest cultural neighbourhoods of Belgrade with numerous bars, cafes and restaurants on its doorstep. The property is located within walking distance from Slavija, one of the biggest and most famous city squares, and popular city landmarks including the Temple of Saint Sava, the Nikola Tesla Museum, the Yugoslav Drama Theatre and Republic Square.
The property's design is inspired by art and architectural moments of the 20th century and the rise of modern Belgrade. The hotel has an industrial feel with concrete and iron used, retro-style custom furniture plays homage to the 1970s style of the city and lighting fixtures nod to the mid-century street lighting of the city. Young local street artists' artwork pulls through a modern twist on the design with six murals taking pride of place in the public spaces. Large bay windows add to the unique design of the building and offer guests a prime view of the city that never sleeps.
The guestrooms maximise comfort with five room types available, Queen Serene overlooking the courtyard, Drama Queen with a view of the famous Serbian theatre, street view oriented Playful Twin, the spacious corner Booster Twin rooms and Moxy Sweet rooms. All rooms feature air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a 50’ LCD TV.
The inclusive and functional community space consists of several areas all gathered around the central fireplace, which holds a special meaning in traditional Serbian architecture as the place for family gatherings. This fusion of tradition is a perfect match with the Moxy spirit. The property's plug-and-play space provides a space to work, chill out, meet new people, and let creative sparks fly.
The hotel’s all-day dining venue, Gastro Bar Park is a bright, open-plan space with communal tables, offering the perfect place to socialise over delicious international and locally inspired cuisine. As in other Moxy hotels, the 24/7 grab-and-go self-service means travellers can eat what they want.
Moxy Belgrade offers two modern conference rooms with a capacity of between 50 and 150 people, which can be transformed easily into one ample space, as well as a small meeting room that can accommodate up to 8 people. All guests can also enjoy a 24/7 fully equipped fitness centre.
