Mountpark Logistics has started construction work on a 26,000m² inventory distribution centre at Mountpark Sered in Slovakia. The building, which has the potential to create over 300 jobs for local people, has been designed to achieve BREEAM ‘very good’ accreditation and is on schedule to complete in the first quarter of 2021. Located next to the R1 (E58) motorway, which connects to the D1 (E75) motorway, Mountpark Sered is within easy reach of Bratislava, Trnava and other manufacturing centres in Slovakia, as well as offering rapid connections to the Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria.
Mountpark Sered has already attracted Amazon, which operates a 60,000m² purpose-built reverse logistics centre on the site. In addition, Mountpark has building permits in place for a further 125,000m² of flexible accommodation, all of which can be delivered within 12 months of starting on site.
“There is a growing demand for modern logistics space in Western Slovakia and we are delighted that we can offer this new building, which will complete early next year,” said Mario Sander, Managing Director Central Europe at Mountpark. “We aim to offer our customers the best opportunities on the market and at Mountpark Sered we can provide high-quality logistics facilities in a prime distribution location.”
