Motorola appoints C&W/H&B as corporate real estate advisor for EMEA

Motorola Inc, a global leader in wireless, broadband and automotive communications technologies, has selected Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker (C&W/H&B) on a three year contract to provide corporate real estate services across its real estate portfolio in Europe the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Motorola’s real estate portfolio in EMEA extends to circa 3.5 million sq ft in 44 countries and spans some 108 locations. The portfolio includes the company’s EMEA headquarters in Basingstoke in the UK, numerous locations throughout Continental Europe as well as former Soviet Union states, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and also Nigeria in Africa. A large proportion of the portfolio is located in Israel where C&W/H&B will work closely with its Israeli associate partner, Inter Israel. Comprising both freehold and leasehold interests, the properties are predominantly made up of offices and manufacturing plants.

C&W/H&B’s role will be to deliver strategic, transactional and consultancy advice through provision of a centrally co-ordinated source of real estate services. A London based team of C&W/H&B experts together with its specialist corporate services personnel across the region, will work closely with the Motorola team to co-ordinate a comprehensive range of services including strategic review and advice, financial analysis, research and transaction management.

C&W/H&B was selected for the contract following a comprehensive pitch process that included major corporate real estate firms.
