With large majority the city council of Essen has decided on the building plans for the largest inner city center in Germany, ECE and Karstadt Immobilien's Limbecker Platz Essen. With that the legal foundation for construction are available.
The building permit by the city of Essen is anticipated to be granted this year. Based on this, construction start is plannend for 1 April 2006. The 3-level project, will comprise 70,000 m² retail facilities and leisure. The opening of the first part of the Limburger Platz is planned for spring 2008. Delivery of the total project is expected for 2009.
