LaSalle Investment Management has announced that it has successfully obtained outline planning consent for a new 500,000ft² (46,451m²) warehouse industrial development at its 26-acre site to be known as urbanlogistics.london, fronting the North Circular, at Edmonton, North London.

The scheme, to be developed by Fairacre, will include the opportunity to provide the only 300,000ft² (27,870m²) building within the North Circular Road together with a 80,000ft² (7,432m²) unit fronting this main arterial route. This news comes following the recent announcement that the secretary of state supported the planning inspector’s recommendation to uphold the outline planning permission for the redevelopment.

Andrew Derry, development director, LaSalle Investment Management said: “Securing planning consent signals a significant step forward in our plans to maximise the significant potential of the site given its strategic position on a major London arterial road. We are currently reviewing our options for this comprehensive redevelopment opportunity.”

North Circular Road, Edmonton is perceived by both occupiers and investors to be a significant and desirable logistics location within the Greater London conurbation.
