Kjell Group AB has entered into a long-term lease agreement with Logicenters for a new state-of-the-art automated robotic warehouse located in Staffanstorp. This central warehouse will enhance delivery speed and efficiency for both service points and e-commerce transactions.
The new warehouse will cover approximately 10,000m2, with potential for future expansion. It is environmentally certified and designed to minimise energy consumption, featuring solar panels on the roof.
Fredrik Nygren, Commercial Director at Logicenters, stated, “Kjell has established itself as one of our most well-known brands. We are very proud to see them setting up operations in Staffanstorp. They are an ambitious and rapidly growing company that we strongly believe in, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth.”
The warehouse will utilise a cost-effective and climate-smart automation solution from Autostore, where robots will pick and pack goods to accommodate increasing sales volumes. This innovation aims to optimize the logistics chain and enhance customer offerings. The investment in automation is estimated to be around c. €7.1m between 2025 and 2026 and is expected to reduce distribution costs and improve efficiency by c. 30%. The new warehouse is anticipated to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2025 and will be fully integrated in 2026.
