Invesco Real Estate strengthens European operations with new appointments (EU)

Invesco Real Estate announced that it has strengthened its operations in Europe with 10 new appointments across its offices in Munich, Prague and London covering roles within transactions, fund management and accounting, research, finance and administration as well as three top level internal appointments.

In Munich, six new appointments have been made covering transactions, fund management, research and finance. These appointments complement the internal promotions of Annette Barthelmes as director of asset management for Germany and Karl Heinz Kronester as director of account management for Germany.

Fabian Manegold has been appointed director of German transactions and will be responsible for managing the firm's acquisitions in the German market. He will join on 1st April from RWE Systems Immobilien where he is head of portfolio/ asset management. He was previously at Jones Lang LaSalle in Berlin for six years.

Frank Pelzer has been appointed as director of Central European (CE) fund management. Frank will join the team on 1st May from Deka/WestInvest. In addition, Henning Grimm has joined the fund management team as an analyst focusing on the firm's Central and Eastern European funds.

Bettina Knirsch has been appointed as fund manager for one of the firm's German Spezialfonds and reports to head of European fund management, Doris Schumacher. Bettina has joined from MEAG MUNICH ERGO AssetManagement GmbH.

In addition, Ellen Heinrich has joined as European research analyst and Guido Gerstner has joined as a financial analyst for the debt structuring team.

In Prague, Tomas Fiala, who joined the firm in 2004 in asset management, has been appointed as managing director of the Czech s.r.o., which involves managing the Prague office as well as the firm's activities in the Central and Eastern European market.

In addition, the Prague team has been strengthened with three new appointments within the transactions and administration areas. Tomas Picha has been appointed as an acquisitions manager covering the CEE region. He joins the team from Sachsenfonds Czech Asset Management where he was the head of acquisitions team for this region. Georgis Krahulik has been appointed as property analyst and joins from Accenture Service s.r.o. and Zuzana Kalfarova joins the team to provide administrative support.

In London, Vinay Yagnik has joined the fund accounting team as a senior fund accountant from Tishman Speyer. He reports to Derek Wellesley, head of fund accounting for the European group.

This growth follows a successful 2007 for the business, which saw assets under management increase by 39% and an increased level of activity with 51 transactions completed totalling
