The American real estate investor Heitman has acquired two office buildings for over €90 million in Bratislava (Slovakia). It is the largest real estate transaction ever in Slovakia.
The buildings of 21,000 m² and 35,000 m² belong to the same office complex, which is the largest in Slovakia. Tenants include Orange Slovakia, SAP Whirlpool and Alcatel. The Americans will put the buildings in their Central European Property Fund II. It was their first deal in Slovakia.
Heitman has been active in Central Europe since the mid nineties and claims to be one of the largest real estate investors in that area. The company has extensive investments in Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Worldwide Heitman has a real estate portfolio under management with a value of $11.7 billion.
