Heijmans N.V. (construction and property development) has been selected by the Leerpark U.A. cooperative to develop and realise the Leerpark in Dordrecht. The Leerpark entails the realisation of an entirely new district for Dordrecht, the heart of which will be formed by schools for vocational training.
The ambitious projects comprises approximately 60,000 m2 training space, approximately 450 homes, approximately 35,000 m2 business space and offices as well as all the related infrastructure and other facilities. The total value of the project is roughly € 175 million. Construction is planned to start in September 2005.
The term of the project is approximately eight years. This project is an example of Heijmans´ ambition to be involved in a project at an earlier stage and thus opt for an integral approach to the layout of an area. The development op the project is a joint venture of the Heijmans companies Proper Stok and Heijmans Vastgoedontwikkeling (property development). Several Heijmans companies will take part in the realisation of this project, which is acquired in a European tender.
