GTC celebrates IBM Kraków success (PL)

IBM’s business consulting unit has signed a contract to lease 4,300 m² of office space in Globe Trade Center’s (GTC) 10,000 m² Galileo building in Kraków (southern Poland).

The deal, large by any standards, is equivalent to more than a quarter of Kraków’s total office take-up figures in 2004. IBM is currently a tenant in Mostostal Export’s Centrum Biurowe Lubicz, in the city center, though the move out to Kraków’s western suburbs is believed to be an additional space requirement. However, the American IT services provider has an option to take space in the second building of GTC’s project in the city, which will also offer 10,000 m² of office space.

Construction on the new block should begin later this year. Ultimately the developer intends its Centrum Biurowe GTC development, on al. Armii Krajowej, to consist of four buildings with total usable area of 35,000 m².
