The German construction industry will continue to slim down this year. According to ZDB President Karl Robl production will further decrease by between 2% to 4%. Last year a 6% decline was realized.
The German construction sector, in which Dutch companies have major shares, has been developing poorly ever since the early nineties. Robl predicts a declining in private housing construction of 4%. Offices and industrial real estate will grow by 1%, whereas public works will show a slight decrease.
